Balancing work & studies- Hamdan(Pakistan)

Balancing work and studies has been challenging, to say the least. While healthy eating, exercise go a long way to helping one keep up, it is always a good idea to take a step back and observe silence.



This is an idea I became more and more familiar with as I continued to participate in weekly meditation sessions with UNESCO Body Mind and Wellness club. The collective experience of performing Sahaj yoga Meditation, online, with people from all around the world, allowed me to connect with my inner-self and reduce lingering stress about the future. These sessions were a perfect way to end the week, as every Saturday, I would come into the session carrying week-long anxieties and would leave with a unburdened heart and heightened spirits, a lot of which had to do with forgiving myself and others.


Naturally, like many students and professionals, it was difficult to take out time everyday, but I would always try to take out time to observe silence which is as simple as closing your eyes for a few minutes.
