Our Mission & Objectives

At Teens Can Meditate, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation with the mental and emotional tools they need to thrive. Through the practice of Sahaja Yoga, our program bridges community service with personal well-being, fostering a healthier, more resilient youth culture.

Our core initiatives are guided by five foundational objectives

1. Cultivating Mental & Emotional Wellness

We aim to address the unique pressures faced by middle school, high school, and college students today. By providing dedicated spaces for stress relief and emotional regulation, we help students navigate academic anxiety, social pressures, and daily stressors, laying the groundwork for lifelong mental well-being.

2. Providing Accessible, Evidence-Based Practices

We believe that wellness tools should be available to everyone. Our program offers an inclusive, universally accessible meditation practice that is entirely free of cost. Rooted in scientific research and developed in collaboration with global academic experts, our sessions provide a verifiable, evidence-based approach to inner peace

3. Building Core Life Skills

True education extends beyond the classroom. Our curriculum is designed to help students unlock their innate potential, building vital life skills that serve them in the real world. Through consistent practice, participants develop:

  • Self-Awareness: Understanding and managing thoughts and emotions.

  • Concentration: Sharpening focus and academic performance.

  • Empathy: Fostering deeper, more meaningful connections with peers and family.

  • Resilience: Gaining the inner strength to bounce back from life’s challenges.

4. Fostering Collectivity & Global Citizenship

Aligning with the core values and principles of Sahaja Yoga, we encourage students to see beyond themselves. We nurture a spirit of community, oneness, and collective respect. By realizing our shared human connection, participants learn to act as responsible, compassionate global citizens who contribute positively to society.

5. Rewarding Community Service & Engagement

We honor the time and dedication our youth invest in their growth and research. To support students in their academic and community pursuits, participants who complete our research program will receive 60 verified volunteer service hours toward their school, graduation, or extracurricular requirements.
