Dr. Sanchita Singh

Biography

Dr. Sanchita Singh earned her doctoral degree from the University of Delhi, where she conducted an in-depth investigation into the effects of problematic internet use on the self-esteem of adolescents. As part of her research, she implemented an intervention using Sahaja Yoga meditation to explore its potential impact on adolescents. Driven by her passion as a researcher, she also delved into the experiences of stigmatization faced by migrant workers during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, she examined how meditation practices influenced the emotions and behavior of adolescents.

Her current research interests revolve around comprehending the effects of social media on adolescents, investigating issues related to the Queer community, and exploring various health concerns associated with sexuality. She is also working in the area of postpartum depression among young mothers in rural parts of india. Learn More>>
